Just used 5 day old home made chicken stock for my leek and potato soup.

Now the chicken stock is good for another 5 days cos soup keeps for 5 days.

Use of a freezer will allow food items to keep for a longer period of time.

well if u cooked the stock again, then that means you killed off all the shit that built up within those 5 days .. which should reset the clock, right?
does that mean you could keep the chicken stock indefinetely if you cooked it off every 3-5 days or so?

turns out the shit that those built up bacteria leave behind inside of your food is toxic and won't get killed off or washed away through cooking

Ha i just read that somewhere too. I dno. The stock was more gelatinous than liquid and it smelled fine and had no signs of bacterial growth.

The soup was delicious too.

The stock is actually erring more on 6 days old.

seems logical to me. if you cook it around the clock, then there is no chance for bacteria to survive, meaning they have no change to poop their toxic shit either. makes perfect sense actually

start adding small pieces of your own flesh every four days and you will last forever anon. you have discovered the soup of eternal youth

You will kill any bacteria, but the thing is bacteria make toxins that don't go away when you cook them, and that's the stuff that gives you food poisoning
