I love a real cheddar macaroni and cheese with bread crumbs and a little bacon. I've even had one with tiny broccoli florets baked in. Easily one of the most decadent and delicious pasta dishes on the planet.

Baked potato destroys mac and cheese any day. Make 1 extra baked potato and put butter and whatever you want in there, then stick it in the fridge. The next day, cut it into pieces and heat it in a pan with some butter. Godlike.

Yes, the sandwich. It also requires atleast two ingredients, but bread is as varied as cheese if not more so, and a sandwich can have anything else in it instead of needing a specific kind of pasta.
You can also just make a mac and cheese sandwich, meaning it gets every single benefit of mac and cheese you listed as well.
It also makes even more people seethe, when they find out you put salt and vinegar chips, or grapes in there.
