It's the biggest offender because it's italian.
Italians mastered healthy food, while americans mastered the unhealthy, overly fat and overly sweet food.
Italians made ONE (1) unhealthy food (nutella) that single-handedly btfo every single american product on the market.
That made (and still makes) americans seethe, because nutella not only hurt their market, but their pride as well.

True, it's not the worst thing you could have if you only eat it once in a while as a sweet treat. But they marketed it as something healthy because it contains a little milk powder and hazelnut even though it's mostly oil and sugar. Like every commercial I saw for it talked about how it's something healthy you should put on bread every morning for breakfast when you've basically made cake at that point. Probably ended up surprising a lot of people when they learned it's not actually a health food.

Vegetable shortening might be the worst thing to eat though. That stuff was directly linked to heart disease and lots of deaths. They say it's healthier now because they removed most of the trans fat but I still avoid it like poison.

Nutella is a breakfast food generally, if you use it as intended (1 tbsp in a sandwich) it's pretty much the same as pbj sandwich since you don't eat only peanut butter, but Americans always forget that
