Chop veggies, toss them with oil and spices, throw into 200C oven for 30-40 minutes, eat with rice and meat if you must.

If you're not very adept at cooking I'd start with something relatively beginner, level like frying/boiling eggs, since they're quite cheap, easy to make, and each egg is usually has about 6g of protein. Also, sauteing regular produce: cabbages, carrots, peppers, zucchini, eggplant, is not very hard with just a pan and some heat. I'd be careful with meats if you haven't worked with them that much, so try to mostly oven cook them as its the safest and easiest one to obtain good results, (excluding steaks), but with this economy. I don't think many people are getting them anyway.

I think hamburger helper is a great way to get people to learn how to cook and follow instructions. you can also make the dish healthy by adding vegetables and lean meat like sliced chicken breast.

Learn to make weeknight "Slop Bolognese"

>1/4 white onion
>150g of ground beef

Fry on medium heat in a shallow skillet with a little oil until beef is browned.

>1 glove of garlic chopped or grated on fine microplane if you have one
> 2 big white mushrooms sliced thin
> 1 inch of some vegetable like zucchini, pepper, carrot, whatever needs using up really

Add to skillet, keep stirring to not burn until softened a bit

> 1/2 cup of simple marinara/store bought pasta sauce
1/2 cup+ of store bought chicken broth

Add to skillet and stir together for 5-10 mins.

Serve on spaghetti with some paramsan.

I eat this 2-3 nights a week easily, I could happily eat this all week if I had to.

there's no need for expensive pepper mixes or out of season squash, just boil cut in pieces potatoes and carrots in the same pot, then mix them with raw onions and whatever

also check on the veggies halfway through baking, a toss and a stir might be needed

buy chicken legs
pre heat oven to 400 degrees F (celcius is for yuropoors)
PAT DRY your chicken legs. DO NOT wash them unless you like throwing up in the middle of the night
Season them with salt and pepper GENTLY (remember to get under the skin)
some people rub a bit of olive oil all over the chicken here, i dont.
If you have a wire rack, place the legs on that over an aluminium lined shallow pan, if not, just rub a bit of oil on the aluminum lined panto keep the chicken from sticking.
Place in the oven and cook for between 35-40 min. check with a thermometer for an internal temp 165.

THATS IT! not hard at all.

Mix up butter, salt and garlic together and slather it on bread. Cook for around 4-6 minutes in the oven. Not the healthiest but it's pretty easy to make in bulk, and it's rather filling.
