I'm not familiar with american cuisine, how should I prepare a detroid style pizza? I read that americans like to make their dough the same as with buns but that doesn't sound tasty

But you’re American, anon.
You’re literally posting from within the United States.
Why are you pretending as if you aren’t?

I have not made or eaten authentic detroit pizza and have no desire to
>however
i have made a pan pizza in a style that appears similar to detroit style. I just used
regular pizza dough , but more of it
spread it out in a pan with a shitload of butter
sauce, cheese, and toppings straight to the edge
I also pre cook the dough a bit in the pan because I don't have an oven hot enough to cook it all in one go.

Detroit pizza uses sourdough which is pretty different from regular buns

Buddy I don't know where you read that, but that's pretty fucking gay and stupid and I've never in my life had pizza that tastes like the crust could have doubled as a bun. are you thinking of French bread pizza? Because no one eats that besides kids and even then it's not common since it tastes like Jewish dick cheese
