I recently bought some of this stuff trying to save a little money over the "Cincinnati Style" and I physically recoiled when dumping it into the pot. It's like a brown jelly, not even actual food, more like wheel bearing grease. I tried my best to ignore that and jazz it up a little with spices, but I just couldn't do it. That shit is vile. Waited for it to cool off and dumped it straight in the trash and then ate my hot dogs with some mustard, onion and cheese instead. Worst eighty cents I've ever wasted in my life, and I once bought a Crystal Pepsi from a YMCA vending machine in 2006.

how do you actually make thick hearty chili? I tried twice in a pressure cooker (before reading that chili should just be cooked open for thickness) and both times it tasted more like a tomato sauce with meat then what I would consider chili. Even a link to a solid recipe would be helpful. I'm sick of these mom blog recipes on the front page.
