Mac sauce is often mistaken or "Thousand Island" dressing but it is not. Mac sauce was originally made with mustard, not ketchup, which is why it is yellow.

That being said, does anyone love "Thousand Island" on burgers? Do you find it inferior or superior to Mac sauce?

Mac sauce doesn't taste vinegary so there's no way it's made with 'tard.

That seems funny to me. I've worked closely with some of the largest CPG brands in the US and while they also have executive chefs (who didn't really do anything), almost all of the new ideas were from marketing and "executed" by their food scientists. By executed I mean they emailed suppliers to find co-mans who could produce what marketing wanted.
Maybe restaurants are different though.

I knew that, because thousand island is delicious and Mac sauce fucking sucks.
I like to get a side of thousand island for my fries, as well as on a burger. How that dressing was ever considered a salad dressing is beyond me, way too fucking heavy for salad.

His job would almost certainly be more businessman now. He has to crunch numbers to come up with new menu items that have a decent profit margin. Pretty sure McDonald's specifically tries to avoid doing promo items now that use ingredients that they don't always have available in every store because it maximises profit and minimises potential wastage.

When you dress a salad, you're supposed to toss it, not just eat it all gloopy.

A tossing to evenly and thinly distribute the dressing.
