Which one do you choose?

This shit is essential survival food. It’s dirt cheap, lasts for years, and all you need is a pot and a heat source.

>> No.17214530

None of them because I'll always have the option of cooking something far better.

>> No.17214665

>lasts for years
That's definitely not true. Bagged instant noodles like those only last up to 8 months and get pretty nasty once they start deteriorating.
Not too different from trying to store a bunch of crackers. Dehydrating it makes them last a lot longer than non-instant noodles but they're still subject to decay and mold.

>> No.17214707

>>17214491
>lasts for years
That’s a negative, ghost rider.
>>17214665 is essentially correct.

Instant noodles aren’t dried/dehydrated as commonly thought. That was the first thing the original inventors tried and they came out like shit when cooked.
Instead, they’re flash-fried. Hence the fat content.
And that oil content *will* go rancid with time. They’re designed to be cheap; they aren’t processed/packaged for long-term storage.

But to answer your hypothetical, I’d go with chicken flavor, as it’s the one I think I’d be able to go the longest without getting entirely sick of eating in a situation where I was only stuck with one.

With a cup, all you need is boiling water and chopsticks. The noodles are chewier too. I think they're better than most of the bricks I've bought.

That said, the bricks that come with dehydrated veg, oil, chili sauce, broth, etc. are obviously superior to the cups that don't come with it, although some do, like the Shin black.

I don't like that brand and usually get a more expensive Thai jasmine rice, but that would only be relevant if we were talking about Shin or another brand. One cup of rice is an equivalent to one pack of noodles and a quick Google search says there are 2.5 cups in a pound of rice. So 50 meals in that 20 pound bag. 20 cents per meal, making it 5 cents cheaper than the ramen without any seasoning or broth. If you can find the noodles for 20 cents like some people in this thread have claimed it's the same price.

I'll never understand why this is shilled so hard everywhere. The noodles are average to decent but the broth is exactly the same bland shit as any cheap 10 cent ramen

Honestly all Korean instant noodles are pretty much the same and shin is just like the top ramen or maruchan brands for Korea where it just happens to be the most famous one that's stocked everywhere.
It's not bad, but it isn't exceptional either. It's your standard spicy Korean noodle pack.

No. Gamjatang was heads and shoulders above all other Nongshim flavours I've had. Why did it have to disappear? WHY?!
