It's soda. When I was a young homestuck living in Cali I made the journey to BevMo to get some redpop in glass bottles. Now I buy it because I live in the midwest and it's just cheap soda here in cans. The cotton candy flavor is probably the sweetest beverage I've ever tasted.

Likewise, the flavors that aren't "cola" "root beet" etc are really the reason to get it

I dislike their cola. I'd say it's marginally worse than RC. Their root beer is as good as Mug and A&W, but worse than Barq's. Faygo grape and orange pop is no worse than Fanta. Their mountain dew equivalent is, IMO, better than Mello Yello and not meaningfully worse than Mountain Dew. Just different. Their creme soda is fine as far as creme soda goes (what's the "name brand" there?). I simply don't remember a Dr Pepper type Faygo product. I'm sure they have one and I've probably drank it, but I don't remember.
Now for what people buy Faygo for. My personal favorite is their Rock n Rye. Just a unique pop. Their Black Cherry is very good and only matched by comparatively niche competitors (the sort who sell glass bottles). They are the name for strawberry pop (RedPop). They sell many other flavors. Some ones I remember are the cotton candy, pineapple, and peach flavors, none of which I'm a fan of. I'm sure I've forgotten some important ones as well.
