Let's sort this out right fucking now, can a toastie maker cook eggs in a toastie or not?

>> No.17144876

Why wouldn't it? The ratio of cooked bread to eggs is the part to worry about.

I used to have a toastie maker that must have been from the 70s that opened up perfectly flat on the bench. It was like having a second, tinier, electric hob with two little, rectangular heating elements. It was lovely.
One morning, it just stopped working, sadly. Can't blame it. Must've been about 40 years old at that point. I've been looking for another which opens flat as that one did but none are meant to do so anymore. They're all rounded on the top part and only have feet on the bottom. It's sad.

It won't, sorry. You can make gypsy/french toast or eggy bread in it, though. Why not do that?

A better question for me, is what is better, a hot sandwich maker like your pic related, or a panini grill press?

I tried making a hamburger in a waffle iron, hoping I would have cheese pockets and it turned out miserably because I used shit tier 85℅ beef that spit out more oily water than the BP oil spill. I should try again with some better 93% beef.

A panini grill press obviously, is a more u universal, tool, for any any kind and types of bread.
