Problem is that German food is incredibly bland,fren. One the whole,most European food tends to be, as the majority of it was inspired by meals of the peasantry. The real exception to this is French cooking. A standard middle class family will cook a rotation of things like different pies, sausages and veg, roast chicken, stews, curries, some italian and french stuff etc. It's not that exciting but can taste great when people take the effort with lots of butter etc. and the ingredients and meats we use are usually far better quality than what you get in the states.
