subways pricing strategy in current year is infuriating

its like $10 bucks for a turkey sandwich and the turkey is the same as oscar mayer stuff that comes in a tray at the supermarket. the bread is all made with premade starters and not baked to a golden brown crisp like a real bakery.

Everytime I go there I feel like I got ripped off and they made 8 bucks of profit on a 10 buck sandwich. I think I'm going to start buying a half pound of turkey before I swing by subway, order a six inch veggie delight loaded with veggies and sauce and just add my own meat.

I can't count on one hand how many times I've eaten Subway and it's always been a let down. Local supermarkets here sell better sandwiches at lower prices. One, though admittedly not as good as the others (though far superior to Subway) sells them for $5. Well, it's like now 'sold.' I'm guessing they're probably $6 now due to inflation and shit. Does anyone actually know what "BMT" stands for? Years ago I worked with a woman who used to travel to help open new Subway restaurants. She said that it stands for "Biggest, Meatiest, Tastiest".
