Fuller's London Pride - One of few beers I'd call refreshing. My go-to draft beer.
Innis&Gunn Oak Barrel - tastes like whiskey but with less alcohol and more vanilla.
Liberty Pale Ale - Good American beer that's easy to drink and tastes like the perfect light beer (despite being 6%).
Fuller's 1845 - Peak malt beer. Can't find it any more unfortunately.

Weihenstephaner is a state-owned brewery and well known for German weed beers. AFAIK they were founded centuries ago and have expanded to the degree of being affiliated with a university that offers degrees in brewing. Maybe, some germans would consider Weihenstephander to be the german equivalent of Bud. In a sense of being available anywhere within Germany. A few of my favs
NJ Cape May Shandy, any of them.
Hoppin Frog Boris, favorite stout
Leffe brun and blonde, both are good
Stone Fear Movie Lions, I like most stone products but this is a killer
Heady Topper, worth the hype
Ayinger Marzen, my favorite oktoberfest
PBR or Budweiser when flavor is irrelevant and you just want to get toasted, I find these are the least offensive in terms of cheap swill

Why is every craft beer can designed in a way that children might find them appealing?

>> No.17133494

>>17133464
Lack of established branding I guess? In my area, most breweries are like 100-200 years old so I guess they're sticking somewhat to their original design. In other words; I guess lack of foundation and identity?

I don't know if you'd like them, but I like and recommend Unibroue a lot, especially Trois Pistoles and Maudite (not quite Belgian, but basically Tripel strength Dubbels). Dieu du Ciel's darker beers, like Peche Mortel and Grand Noirceur are great... and as far as IPAs for people who don't like IPAs go, I'll usually offer a Collective Arts' Ransack the Universe - it's like a missing link between hazy/juicy IPAs and beer. It's hoppy without being overly bitter or piney; fruity without being juicy; interesting, but it still tastes like beer... it's like instead of a grapefruit fight in a pine forest, it's a pineapple and guava fight on a beach... despite the long explanation it's still a distant third.

Pic rel is one of the best beers I had that were specifically brewed for a supermarket. (~0.60€/0.5L)

Non-German anons tend to think that all Lagers are bland. I'd urge them to try Landbier, Zwickel, Kellerbier. Any beer that deviate from pale clear lagers such as: Helles, Pils etc.

I'm in St Louis so I have tons of great local breweries to choose from, it's easier to name them off than all the beers I like because that list is way too long.
