ITT: recipes that make you look fancy as fuck but are actually stupid easy. I'll start:

garlic confit
>4 heads of garlic
>~500ml olive oil
>simmer on very low for ~30 mins

sounds fancy cuz its french, makes you look like someone who knows about cooking with minimal actual effort

put it on toast or bread etc. the garlic gets soft and spreadable and mellows out so it doesnt make you stink. plus the oil gets infused so you get free garlic oil as a bonus

Many people think crab is fancy and while it expensive it’s stupid easy to cook. Key is to use Kings because of all the work it takes to get the meat out isn’t worth the effort with snows

Boil garlic in water 2 minutes then put im jar seal with oil. Let age for weeks rather than days..

My coworkers constantly marveled at my "elaborate lunch desserts" such as baked apple in a glass, cheesecake baked in a ramekin, lava cake, creme brulee, layered icecream, bloody milk chocolate molten a bit so I could stick cacao nibs in them, etc, etc, like anything above buying a yoghurt in a plastic cup is chef tier cooking.

Lava cake is just mixing egg, flour, butter, sugar and molten chocolate, then baking the mixture poorly in ramekins. Cheesecake isn't much more complicated either, just a few more steps.
