For me, it's the bread butt

I learned recently some people DON'T like bread butts, which is insane to me

It depends on the bread, but for a good sourdough the butt and crust is the best part. The crumb I feed to the ducks and pigeons. I strive for my homemade breads to have as open crumb as possible. I can tell by the weight and size of the loaf if it's good or not. Usually not. Crummy crumb eaters.
