I love grilling with my friends. What do you put on the barbie?

Like this one? I prefer to do beef, fish, and shellfish. Can't get into NY strip though. Truly a shitty cut of meat. Wifey likes the filet, but I'm more of a tri-tip guy. Oysters kick ass, but everyone I know is a pussy so I grill and eat them alone. No need to waste charcoal for dogs and burgers though. I microwave the dogs and just don't do burgers.

Right?? So glad the high-rise/natural waist pants are back in fashion. Very flattering on a fit woman and accentuates their fupa if they start to let themselves go. A little mirror shaming can be a good thing. Nobody wants to be grillin while dodging a fat chick. It's unpleasant and also dangerous.

I'm from the pacific northwest but have been living in SC for almost 5 years or so now. Nearly died laughing the first time I heard someone try to order "scrump frahd rahs" at the local thai place.
Then I took a short weekend vacation with the missus last year and saw a restaurant the next town over that had "Scrimp" in the name.
The South is a magical place.

The experience miserable, the barbie

If I want to server people good food, I want to focus in the toolshed called a kitchen, not try to freehand it like a barbarian in my backyard.

If I want to hang and chat while doing an activity outside, I can find much better ones that standing around a smoky grill while waiting with a hungry stomach to eat burnt slop

The most oversold meme of an idea is grilling, corporate america just desperate to sell americans useless rusting hunks of trash to sit in their backyards, and to peddle processed meats served on one-use plates.

Virtually anything.
I grill about 200 days a year and on about 50 of those days it is lunch & dinner, both,
Big hits are
>brats and dogs with onions and peppers on a veggie plate
>burgers with tick slices of onions grilled alongside
>Moroccan spiced chicken thighs and grilled flatbread from scratch
>homemade pizzas
>fajitas
>marinated pork chops with grilled salad
>steaks with eggs sunny side up on a griddle
>salmon with grilled corn on the cob
a lot more, of course

Ah, but the tri-tip IS better, assuming choice grade beef, if you appreciate flavor and texture. Strip lacks the flavor of cuts like tri-tip or flank, doesn't cook to rare/midrare like a filet, doesn't handle medium like a ribeye. Strip can be okay, but it takes a dry brine, sous vide, and a gentle hand with a torch for the sear to get there and even then it's just merely okay, never good or great. I use it for stir fry or dog food typically. The dogs love it.
