you can pop the 'lid' back on, the contents of the can doesnt come in contact with the top of the can.

What the fuck kind of shithole still has cans that need an opener? I don't remember when I last saw one that didn't have a pull tab.

Even if the can has a tab using this type of can opener has two advantages:
1. you can put the lid back on,
2. using a spatula to scrape the contents that might be truck to the sides/bottom is much easier because there’s no “lip” anymore (said lip also tends to cut the spatula…).

>> No.17071266

I have both the smooth edge and indention-style. I still come across cans which are less practical to open with a smooth edge, but in most cases smooth is more convenient.
Not world-changing though, and wouldn't go out of your way to buy one.

No, cauise I have the only good can opener in existance and anyone who claims its not has never had the blessing of being able to even see it used.
And I feel sorry for you but you deserve to use the absolute dogshit can opener you have, as punishment for your objectively wrong opinion.

I'm sorry you got scammed, but now it's time to get your endgame opener.

I hate the tabs. They use extra resources to make the tab, and the can's seal is weakened so they can work thus shortening the shelf life. So they accelerate the end of the world while limiting the longevity of your survival stash. You just know who is behind that shit.
