id likely recommend a salmon soup and carelian stew. recipes are online, just look for finnish salmon soup and carelian stew. these are simple dishes but something we eat for real in homecooking instead of the fancy fine dining stuff often seen in cooking shows etc

a beautiful fresh warm rye bread with real salted butter on the side

for dessert something with fresh berries such as blueberries, raspberries an strawberries, keep it simple with cream etc.

There are multiple different variations, some of them not using creme fraiche, some using sour cream, some using no dairy, some using egg yolk... but the main flavors are mustard and dill.

There are some good "Finnish food" restaurants. The problem is most "traditional Finnish food" restraurants are just your run of the mill bastardized French cuisine restaurants that have been around for 100 years and are thus "traditional".

But these days tons of places (especially in Helsinki) are serving delicious food made with real traditional Finnish ingredients. Tons of local fish, berries, veggies, game etc.

I would use beef. In Finland they sell "Karelian stew kits" which is just packaged meat of 50% beef and 50% pork cut into cube shapes.

obviously nothing special about it, it's just pre-cubed meat and veggies, but it represents kinda the standard karelian stew experience most people expect.

Nice to see you've never been to Lapland. Sami do not have blond hair or blue eyes, those are genetic traits that come from the Scandinavian/Swedish DNA. Sami (the inhabitants of Lapland) have dark hair and dark eyes. They are much darker than the "genetic Finns" who interbred heavily with Scandis.

They also do not "hunt elk with bows and arrows in teepees". For one, there is no bow and arrow hunting culture in Finland. Teepees are reserved for tourist exhibits. They do hunt and herd reindeer, but they do so using snow sleds and modern ice fishing gear.

The problem is our white women simply do not breed. I think the latest fertility rate figure is 1.2 for native-born Finns. It has been below sustainability (2.1) for decades now. While we keep no official statistics of race, Finland is over 95% native-born (=white), and of immigrants the largest countries are Russia, Estonia and Sweden. Mostly white countries.

I didn't say they should live like their ancestors. But they are definitely not "keeping traditions alive through myths and values". No one is trying to demographically replace anybody. The UN created the indigenous people classification based on the situation in North America where settlers did replace the local folk. That's fine, it fits there. It does not in any way describe the situation in Europe.
Finnich people and Sami people have co-existed for longer than there is written history. Both are indigenous to this land. The only difference is the UN mandates that "indigenous people" have to be a minority.
So now Sami are this "mistreated original peoples" trodden down by the man, man, simply by virtue of being a minority.

They are not in any way "based". Every local council seat is left-wing. The fucking COMMUNIST PARTY is still strong in parts of Lapland when it has disappeared from the rest of Finland after WW2.
