I liked the weird mexican style tv dinners from the 2000's era. They orobably tasted tge same as the old ones.

>> No.17029065

They've declined a lot. Ever since Marie Calendar stopped putting the gravy in a separate packet it's gone to complete shit, they used to actually be really good for a frozen dinner.

You don't have the palette of a child anymore. You won't get the palette of old person for many years.

Back in the days where TV dinner ovens were the norm, they'd be more like a regular meal, much closer to reheating the leftovers of a mediocre family meal. But they were also more expensive, took longer, and were generally more of a hassle.

As far as microwave dinners go, I think most people just get sick of them over time.

they have ALWAYS sucked, EXCEPT for one or two varieties of each brand are sometimes passable.
But they are better than nothing.

Are the metal trays sold anywhere? I'd like to try making my own bootleg tv dinners.

TV dinners are like 4chan. They sucked right from the start but we remember them fondly.

That's too expensive for a tray. I want to make some fake high end tv dinners to shove in the freezer and prank my family with.

I'd wondered.
If it were me, I'd just go get some tv dinners with metal trays and either throw it away,(the food,) or eat it and re-use the tray.

They have declined more and more as food processing technology has gotten more and more advanced. For example, the original meal had real pieces of chicken. Now, that same amount of meat is ultra-processed and is used to make three 'patties'.

Arent there delivery meals now that you just heat up? Ive never had them just seen commercials
