I’ve used them at work they’re solid. I wouldn’t consider them that expensive for what you’re getting.

I stayed at an airbnb that had the huge block. It's easily 250 pounds. Fun to cut on but you have to be diligent about care, plus the bulkiness makes it not an option for my kitchen where people hang out in. They pop up on marketplace all the time, don't pay retail.
