Lol you don't need a steel machine to cook for hundreds. I'd say 6 human equivalents could easily push out 250-300 dishes on a busy night, been there before. I'm not aware of any traditional kitchens that would use industry to that degree, actual kitchens rely on people, prepackaged shit relies on machines

The amount of accepted food waste in a production facility is mind boggling. I've worked at slaughter houses where everything is sold to someone, literally everything from the undigested food in their guts to every last bone and piece of scrap on it. At the same time I've worked at a cheese factory where hundreds of gallons of milk would occasionally get dumped and it was common to cut chunks off the 50lb bricks where the snails had gotten to it, hundreds of pounds of cheese would get thrown out, I guess it didn't really go to waste, one of the owners brothers had a pig farm and he would just drive up at night and load the containers of bad cheese and snails and dump it in his pig pen

Yeah I work at a big online grocery store in my cunt. Seeing all the shit we throw out feels bad man. If the customer isn't home when we deliver we have to throw out all the cold items. One time our freezer shat itself like 4 times in a month and we had to toss actual pallets of shit away each time.
And this is just the final stage before the product gets delivered, I don't want to think about the wastage just to get it to us.
