If you're American, your odds of getting trichinosis are next to zero thanks to a bunch of agricultural laws passed several decades ago. The parasite meme only happens in countries where their swine is allowed to be fed literal garbage.

Farmed pork doesn't really have parasites anymore since production methods have improved. Unless you were eating wild boar you don't have to worry about that. Ground meats are more likely to be contaminated throughout with some bacteria though, so you probably have food poisoning. If you're not vomiting and you don't have any other health problems you just need to wait it out.

Pork is best cooked medium well, I think. I dunno why it's still so common to think that pork needs to be well done.

>> No.17014268

Did you perhaps drink a few beers with your sausages?
If yes, then that's just regular beer shit and nothing to worry about.

>Ground meats are more likely to be contaminated throughout with some bacteria though
You should ooint out that this applies for all types of animals. And especially in the sausage making process there are plenty steps that boost contaminations if you don't scald them afterwards

heritage from when pork was homegrown so all the safety checks didn't exist and you just had to overcook it to be safe from parasites

>> No.17014360

>>17014302
I thought I did that by saying "ground meats" instead of just "ground pork". But yes, unless you're grinding something yourself or trust someone else doing it, you should cook any kind of ground meat to well done because of the potential for contamination to reach the center.

>remember that undercooked pork is likely to have parasites in it
That's mostly if you hunted a feral one. Chances of parasites in farmed pork are slim to none. You could always get a check up though.

>> No.17014422

>>17014360
Yeah, you said ground meats, but many retards still often think that beef is always safe while everything else isn't.
