I personally enjoy the impotent outrage of minorities so anything that pisses people off is fine by me. Sushi with ketchup, for instance, might sound horrible but is in fact very good. Especially if you order it in a high end sushi place, the anger that the sushi chef who is so serious about his stuff is delicious. But I have to admit that it's even more delicious if you do this with a more sensitive culture. They are easy to identify, they call themselves "minorities" and are usually very easy to piss off. I think I have explained that I prefer scandinavian tacos over "authentic" to every single latin american I have ever met. One of the little beaners even tried to punch me once haha but I just held my hand on his forehead and he couldn't really do anything.

This is Goro from The Solitary Gourmet. There is 8 seasons of this show. It follows a fictitious salesmen as he travels around the greater Tokyo area. After a brief segment of him doing his job the show then goes to a random restaurant (that is a real place you can visit) and he eats food for the remaining 20 or so minutes of the show. its extremely cozy and a ton of fun to watch.

Now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever had any sort of Japanese food other than sushi. And that's just fish and rice so it's hardly unique in that I've had fish & rice dishes that weren't technically sushi so it's whatever. Also I'm pretty sure all the sushi I've had has been made by Koreans larping as Japanese so I'm even further removed from knowing anything about Japanese food. I'd like to think I'd visit Japan one day and experience some of their bullshit but I doubt I will with the covid fake retarded shit making travel a pita. Plus I remember reading the story about that girl who was abducted and raped/tortured for like 2 months in Japan before the guys just set her on fire and killed her so I'm pretty much convinced all Japanese are monsters and I don't care to change my mind about that. And one time my uncle visited my family years back and he had just come from a working stint in Japan and he smelled pretty bad so idk the Japanese have a lot of work to do in regards to their image.
