I've been cutting calories and exercising like crazy. Basically try to stick to about 1500-1800 calories a day and get in a 10k - 15k step walk in a day.

I seem to have recently noticed in the past few weeks that my hair has started to become really thin and wispy and the two are said to be linked.

Is this anything to worry about? Am I going too hard?

keto causes hairloss, ensure you aren't accidentally going into ketosis and you will be fine

Uh oh, I hope my diet isn't whats making my hair thin. I get plenty of macros but I eat tons of sugar, I also eat a lot of saturated fats but I'm not convinced that's intrinsically a problem

You're a bit malnourished is all. What are you eating for those calories? Are you missing out on certain nutrients?

>Is this anything to worry about?
Nah, when I was in highschool, I did an even harsher diet, and my parents noticed my hair thinking out. Mom had a similar thing happen to her ages ago and recommended a multivitamin.
A multivitamin fixed it. It was a bunch of B vitamin deficiencies.

>Am I going too hard?
No. I used to sometimes only get 800 cals and still hit an hour and a half on the treadmill and lift some weights.

get a blood test and talk to a doctor, the likelihood of you being deficient in one or more vitamins is probably high, unless you are eating a _very_ well-rounded diet. chances of that being true while also posting for medical advice on /ck/ are probably close to nil.

How tf can you know that? Not saying they should wait but they should see a trichologist first. Of its legit their diet or stress/inflammation/disease then fin may not help much.

If you are eating less, you are getting less micros
Don't get memed into "eating more vegetables", you should be doing that anyway, if you are cutting hard, get some supplements, zinc is important for hair and billions of people are deficient

Take a multi and drink lots of water. Dont stop counting calories, the people telling you to do that probably don't have the apetite you do and don't understand why counting calories is important for some people. Frankly tho any calorie count less than like 1600 for a man is a little too low imo even when cutting.
