16981939 No.16981939 [Reply] [Original]

tl;dr: Are there keto-friendly bread alternatives such as almond flour based breads, or is that a meme? Is it possible to make keto pizza? My impression, having followed a "strict" keto diet, is that this seems like total bullshit, but a lot of articles online (mostly written by and for dumb women I assume) showcase all of this crazy shit like "keto cinnamon rolls" and "keto pizza," and honestly the latter gets me pretty hyped.

I've been following a fairly strict keto diet for a while because it makes me feel fucking great and it seems to make both gainz and cutting very easy. I think the "state of ketosis" aspect of the diet is a total meme and basically that it's more likely that this works because 1) it's hard to overeat excessively while eating only fat- and protein- rich foods (but supplementing with protein shakes makes bulking possible too) and 2) it probably has a positive impact on testosterone and hormone balance in general. That said, I'm getting a little bored of eating eggs as a quick staple food, and I want something I can prepare in bulk, and I especially want some substitutes for things that I miss if only for convenience sake, like bread for sandwiches or dough for pizza. So, my question to you bros is this: Is almond flour bread actually keto friendly?

Also, is there a /fit/ cheat sheet anywhere for go-to keto foods and recipes? Eating steak, bacon, and eggs every day is nice, but I'd like more variety and sometimes I just don't want to go to the trouble of cooking a steak and cleaning up. For example, if almond flour isn't bullshit, I'd really love to make a keto pizza that I can eat for a few days afterwards.

Pic related: I eat this every day

Hello, I'm one of those men.

See, unlike the skinhead untouchables who inhabit this site, I grew up and became a normal human being with healthy relationships and a good career.

I don't have a problem with gay people.
I don't have a problem with brown people.
I don't have a problem with Muslims.
I don't have a problem with Jews.
I kinda sorta respect the holyfuckinghell out of modern women.

In other words, I'm not a pea brained toddler repeating history as farce with an orange fucktard who puts children into LITERAL concentration camps.

I'm not pissing my pants scared at the idea of women having more voices, more votes, and - GASP - more control over worldly affairs.

I'm not cucked to the cruel, nonsensical, evil ideas cooked up by shitty white men a hundred fucking years ago, or the shitty sexist morals all but beaten into us by our shitty fucking forefathers.

I'm free of toxic masculinity. Fuck yes, you will be hearing that phrase a whole fucking lot over the next ten years, and it will become law.

So suck my asshole, you fucking cowards. Go real deep and suck like I know you secretly want to.

Fascism is so fucking dead after 2020 you won't even be able to smell its oozing corpse.

Your world is thrashing around on its deathbed as we speak.

It's gone for fucking forever as soon as the rotten Cheetoh is gone.

Here, have a look inside my crystal ball.

I see a whole fucking lot of bold, pissed off, beautiful women tap dancing on your skull for the HELL you inflicted on them the past four years.

And men like me will be right there at their sides just laughing. Mocking. Drowning you in heaps upon heaps of your own shitty shit.

Fathead dough is what you're looking for. Its mozzerella eggs and almond meal/flour its passable and different but it wont quite be "real" pizza.

can't eat pizza on keto

That's just the way it works. No, there's no remotely satisfying bread substitute that fits into a ketogenic diet. Want something to prepare in bulk and just heat up? Make soups and stews. Want to eat something like a sandwich? Wrap it in lettuce.

Better yet, just go to a moderately low-carb diet. Want pizza? Make thin-crust pizza heaped with cheese and toppings. High protein diets aren't keto. When you guzzle protein shakes, you're not a keto diet anymore anyway. Keto is high fat, moderate protein. Your body is just making the carbs it needs from protein anyway. It's cheaper and more enjoyable to get the glucose you need from carbs, rather than protein.

I've made keto pizza different ways while on the diet.
1. cauliflower crust
it comes out ok but not my favorite
2. fathead dough
this is somewhat better but quite calorie dense
3. using ground beef as a base
most commonly did this. thin layer of seasoned ground beef spread out in a pan and covered in sauce + toppings. not really finger food at that point but still tasty
bonus: would go to local pizza place that had a buffet and just eat the toppings off the pizza along with salad.

I made a cheese crust pizza years back when I did keto, worked surprisingly well. Really greasy though so could be a deal breaker.

Just mix together shredded cheese and egg. Put that on a pizza pan. Cook until it create a "dough". Remove from oven, add toppings, put back into oven till cooked. You could probably find a recipe with specifics online if that sounds appealing.

The almond flour based pastries ive tried are pretty good.

All the almond flour based savory bread and crackers I've tried have all been awful. I think maybe because for some reason they often mix it with coconut which gives it a weird texture? I dunno but keto breads/crackers as usually so middling in my experience that you're better off just passing on them altogether and saving your carb budget for something you enjoy. I hear there's something called cloud bread which is molk based if you're not lactose intolerant. I'd love to be proven wrong than find a good keto bread.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Why even fucking follow it you retard.
The literal only fucking selling point of eating keto is pushing you into ketosis without the hard work of fasting and learning to not listen to ghrelin.

I genuinely didn't read past this line and I don't think the rest of your shitpost would clue me into your state of mind either.

I'm pretty huge into fasting because I'm disabled and ketosis means a huge deal for keeping weight off without being able to consistently exercise but even the actual ketotards make me wonder about this earth.
The thing is you can eat keto, focus your diet around being in ketosis and kick yourself out of it now and then without worry even if you're a being with it's own gravity because your diet is centered around having minimal carbs and once you're keto-adapted you roll right back on into it much like rolling fasts and eating keto refeeds.
To use a similar schizm from the fasting world: there are groups of people so hardcore in their fasting they cannot consume an extremely minimal amount of skimmed milk/milk powder that won't kick you out of ketosis, use sweeteners that won't spike your glycogen/destroy gut biome, take fucking elctrolytes and even retards who only want to dryfast.

I simply cannot comprehend how the actual ketolards operate when i see posts and cookbooks and shit revolving around it like holy shit just don't eat >20g of fucking carbs, space your meals out and you'll be fine you won't fucking starve and if you're on keto you're not gonna worry too much about losing a little weight be it fat or muscle. If you're gonna lose muscle you lift to maintain and because you're eating keto you'll be fine.

I swear, the schizo ketolards and hardcore dryfasters and 0 cal only water fasters should launch off this earth and establish their own society because they're absolutely insane and they deserve each other, perhaps one day they could breed the perfect evolution of human and they'll come back here to wipe us out.
Carbs are awful for weightloss outside of raw CICO (accounting for activity) because of glycogen and their relationship to ghrelin but these people take it to a whole other fucking level.

I really hope you aren't doing the 70% fat keto diet (for epileptics and facebook moms). Do 50/50 fat/protein. Also not too sure why you think ketosis isn't an actual thing. Where do you think your energy is coming from since itcs not from carbs. Anyway add nuts into your diet. I like walnuts the most. Greek yogurt too.

>>16988938
The advice towards sweeteners is basef on breaking faties addiction to sweet things that got them fat to begin with so once they stop fasting they have a better relationship to food and won't go back to gorging on sweets. Also no idea ehy you have a problem with peoplr who fast telling others to not consume caloties during a fast. Just go on a reduced calorie diet if you want that lmfao
