Several reasons:

1. First and foremost, pressure cookers are associated with immigrants and brown people, and wh*teoids think that only white people value their own safety, and therefore assume that the normal kind of pressure cooker will kill everyone in sight and they're only used because the people using them don't experience pain (I wish I was making this up)

2. Nobody shills for normal pressure cookers but tons of "influensters" shill professionally for instant pots

3. Lastly, normal pressure cookers require 10 seconds of google to figure out how to use, whereas electronic ones have a bleeping blooping "app" that you log into with facebook and it tells you how to cook your tendies which is much more reassuring to shit for brains zoomers
