Whenever I bake bacon in the oven it always has a weird taste and is nowhere near as good as fried. No idea why that is because nothing else tastes weird coming out of my oven and I don't add butter or anything when frying bacon.

i used to be an oven bacon guy but it's too hard to collect the rendered fat that way and the fat is the best part I cook everything with it.

8-10 minutes on parchment paper at 400F.
Turn off oven. Let bacon sit 2-3 minutes inside.
Drain grease into small pan to coat sandwich bread or insides of burger buns with, fry bread/buns, dress sandwich/burger accordingly.

Otherwise, chop into smaller pieces and pan fry while making a tomato paste based roux for my red beans and rice or top pic related with 2-3 uncooked slices quartered before it goes in the oven so the bacon cooks on top the pizza and the crust leaches the bacon grease -- I have round sheet pans and coat the perforated ones with foil when doing this, so don't burn your house down rackfags. Have to cover my ass here.
