Would you eat this prime Japanese steak?

I’d rather eat British “food”.

I take it that's the Ribera Steakhouse?

yes, something about this type of food makes me strangely nostalgic "Yoshoku"

>> No.16963044

It is masterfully made by the Japanese. So yes.

C'mon man just give one side a good sear and leave the other side untouched if you have to make a thin steak rare.

what exactly is wrong with it? it looks like it's been pre-cooked, frozen and reheated in a microwave then slapped on a hotplate like applebees,.

I heat my grill up to 1,000 degrees, toss it on 40 seconds each side and its done.

>> No.16963128

>>16963083
Also they aren't weighing the steaks down so they curl up and half the steak gets no direct contact. A thin boneless ribeye really needs a weight if you're gonna cook it on a flat top like they do.

Here's the thing, you don't eat at Ribera because of the food. You eat at Ribera because of the sick jacket you get. It's like a rite of passage.

I'd take them to the cleaners over that "640kg steak" typo.

>DUDE it's JAPANESE so you KNOW it's gonna be good as FUCK bro of course I'm gonna pay $50 for a poorly coocked steak and a spoonful of corn!
This shit is so dumb. Like those stupid fucking ramen places that keep opening up in my town that charge $20 for a fucking bowl of soup with three slices of meat and an egg

>> No.16964644

You just don't understand the effort and work that goes into crafting traditional Japanese food. Typical of a 4chan user to be this ignorant.

>> No.16964648

Bro it's a fucking ramen bar in Georgia, I doubt there's anything "traditional" about it at all

>> No.16964657

>>16964623
Nobody memes Ribera as being good; it's a hole-in-the-wall steakhouse in Tokyo. It's literally all just about the fact that you haven't made it big as a pro wrestler in Japan until you've been there.

>> No.16964661

I'd take the butter off and leave the corn, I am on a diet but I'll take anything with a high ratio of protein to calories
