Okay Reddit. I spend all day outside in the sun working, sweating. Summer is approaching in upsidedownland, I need your most refreshing drink possible (including mixes), aside from water of course.

Not a fan of anything bitter. (no beer)
alcohol in general isn't refreshing.

So far grape juice with ice is top place.
Tried a few aloe vera drinks and they are a solid second place.
I like lemonade, most juices. Cucumber might be good. Watermellow and apple are refreshing.

Extremely cold ice water is the correct answer. Nothing more refreshing by definition.

A close second is some ice cold extremely fizzy soda water with a small slice of fresh lime.

Might be hard to get some where you are, but I’d recommend an ice cold glass of Kvass.

From Wikipedia: “ Kvass was reported to be consumed in excess by peasants, low-class citizens, and monks; in fact, it is sometimes said that it was usual for them to drink more kvass than water. Slavic peasants, going to work in the field or other hard work, took kvass with them, as they believed that it restores strength and relieves fatigue.”

Slice a couple cucumbers thinly, then let the slices soak in a gallon of water in the refrigerator overnight. Add lemon or lime juice to taste.

Everyone saying "just water" has never worked on a road crew in Florida. You evidently have never sweat so much that straight water isn't enough to stave off dehydration. I'm talking every inch of you pouring sweat, all of your clothes getting so sweaty you can wring them out and see a small puddle form on the ground. Yeah, you need more than water when it gets like that.
For me, it's ice cold water that had a bunch of orange, lemon, lime, and cucumber slices infusing into the pitcher overnight. Watermelon sometimes, too. Add just a touch of salt, you want to just barely taste it. You need sugar, salt, and vitamins.
Or just drink Gatorade.

Put 1 cucumber in thin slices (potato peeler, chop seeds), lime zest and bruised mint in a can or pot, top up with water and ice, put in the fridge for half an hour. Pour through a sieve and add more ice.
