Depends on the food. For Mexican foods I like Cholula and Valentina the best. But my favorite all around is Marie Sharp's.
Remember to boycott Melinda's.

I haven’t found “the one” yet. I settle for louisiana a lot of times if I want to spice up some kind of chicken and rice dish. I use taco bell sauces (except diablo) for all mexican shit. A dash of texas pete for my chili. All pretty good but I feel like something’s missing.

Can we talk about peri peri sauce? I’m trying to make a good peri peri and the thousand different recipes I’ve seen are wildly different. Most use lemon zest, thyme, and red wine vinegar but not all. Some people spatchcock their chickens whole and some do just thighs. Most don’t even use peri peri chiles.

I just can’t find the definitive recipe of peri peri sauce. Anyone know anything?

Meanwhile white people have entire stores dedicated to hot sauces, have hot pepper eating contests, sequenced chilli genomes and took selective breeding to a whole new level, synthesize capsaicin and more.

The idea that white people don’t like spices makes no sense. Especially when you consider our history consists of risking our lives sailing into the unknown and subjugating indigenous peoples with the sole intention of acquiring spices.
