Oliver - his approach to cooking is more flexible. He also doesn't overcomplicate his dishes unless there's a good reason for it; that's why his stuff is more approachable to normies trying to get better at cooking.

Think he just campaigned for schools to start serving kids real food instead of absolute shit, and tried to convince parents to actually cook meals for the family and get baseline decent at cooking instead of constantly feeding their kids garbage from the local takeout.
I'm no Vaush but that seems like a pretty worthy cause - not least because it would stem the tide of having to pay for a fucking epidemic of diabetes and other obesity-related problems in the general population later on.

Not even close. Ramsay might be an insufferable asshole, but he is also probably one of the most talented chefs alive today. If you asked who would win between him and Marco Pierre White then you would have a more interesting competition.

MPW had one good restaurant and then flamed out because he couldn't handle the stress.

Gordon Ramsay had, at one point, more michelin stars than anyone else in the world and manages a massive restaurant empire across several continents.

It's not even close.

He didn't ruin soda. The soda manufacturers who decided raising prices slightly would completely destroy their business model ruined soda. That only makes sense if they're relying on q high volume of sales with keen profit margins, and if soda needs to sell at high volume to remain profitable it must be depending on the population drinking too much soda. They effectively admitted to being predatory.

>manages a massive restaurant empire across several continents
Surely that has more to do with his business acumen than his skills as a chef. Mark Zuckerberg manages a large business across multiple continents but I don't know if he can cook for shit.

They both stopped being true chef the moment they entered the entertainment industry.
I suppose Oliver inspired more people with his show than Ramsey swearing at people in a fake reality show.

Sort of, but the reality is that you only attract people of that caliber that would carry you to that success if you're a top shelf talent yourself. It's sort of the difference between Aubergine and Applebee's, if that makes sense.

Also, in restaurants and cooking in general, the circle that you can successfully manage grows as you get better. So you start as a cook, and you might manage one dish. Then you can manage the entire station. Then you cross-train and learn more stations. You move up to sous chef and start managing the cooks. If you're good, you move up to chef de cuisine and manage the sous chefs. If you do well with that, you become executive chef and write the menus, and any other kitchens that might fall under your supervision. If you're really good, then you can manage an entire fleet of restaurants, a whole army of chefs and cooks and dishwashers.
