What's the best way to preserve milk? Boil it? Freeze it? Is there some equivalent to pickling that works for milk?

>> No.16898515

Cheese.

Make paneer if you've a lot of milk. Make hot chocolates. Make a lot of cheesy pasta sauce.

After that get Milk with a long shelf life.
It's great not having to bother with the expiry date as it's good for like half a year.

>> No.16898714

OP don't listen to these idiots they just want you to make mustard gas. You should bake your the milk at 450F for at least 4 hours, this completely sterilizes the milk and will prevent expiration for at least 6 months, big dairy jews use misinformation campaigns to keep this technique from the general public so they can sell more milk when people throw it out.

I already check every carton to make sure they're not hiding any extra fresh ones on the back of the shelf. Are you telling me there's an easier way?

>> No.16898765

>>16898720
Guessing he's referring to ultra pasteurized which has a longer shelf life than standard pasteurized milk when unopened, if so he's retarded because both have the same shelf life once they've been opened. The benefits of ultra pasteurized (also called ultra high temperature) are entirely in how long it can be stored while unopened, meaning it can sit at the store longer without going bad or you can buy it and keep it unopened until you need it, nice for if you wanted to buy in bulk but don't go through milk super fast.

>yoghurt
This. Even milk that has just started to go sour still makes fine yogurt. I houses at for a family member a number of years ago and they keep their fridge at a higher temperature than I'm used to so the gallon of milk I bought started to go bad even though there was still half a gallon of it left. I decided to make yogurt out of it and it was great.

>> No.16903934

>>16903917
Yes milk expires but the date on the packaging is not an expiration date since when milk expires is dependent on outside factors such as how it's stored and when it was opened. The date is a sell-by date that is meant to tell stores when they should throw it out to avoid potentially selling milk that might expire soon to a customer and getting sued. Unopened milk is usually still good long past the printed sell-by date because factors of safety are a thing for avoiding liability. Just sniff it and if it smells off probably don't use it outside of cooked applications. If it smells outright rancid chuck it.
