Dealing with absolute retards that don't even know basic sanitation, massive egos and shitty food, will not learn from their mistakes and will just go back to their old ways 6 months later

>US show: entire kitchen is a greasy cesspit while mold and mushrooms grow in the freezer as food months out of date rots out in the open, all the while pre cooked frozen food is sold at a ridiculous price and the owner(s) genuinely wonder why gordon is roasting the life out of them and keep insisting they aren’t doing anything wrong
Aside from the fact the average American anything is tuned directly to the lowest common denominator (which is why even documentaries often have flashy ridiculous effects going on every 20 goddamn seconds) its also a reflection of the people within. Bongs at least pretend to be humble when the master walks in to give them a hand and can at least admit how and where they’re making mistakes and want to fix them, burgers just whine like a child and expect Ramsay to just make everything better by his presence alone. Just look at how often the most basic of things like storage, rotating, and sanitation are blatantly ignored in the US version. At a certain point its not just the network telling these people to put on a show and the fact that they’re complete morons who have no business at all being involved with anything dining related. And again thats not even the problem, the problem is that everyone gives Gordon shit even though they fucking asked him to come in with cameras that’ll show their face and business for millions to see.

I saw him say something online once and basically he said it was moreso the producers than him. The producers want the show to be more dramatic for an American audience, so they tell him to yell and gesticulate more.

It's the same reason why the cinematography and overall production is different. In the UK version, the music is relaxing and the camera shots are long sometimes with a minute or two between cuts to a different angle.

In the American version, the camera angle changes roughly every 5-15 seconds, the music is loud, fast, and dramatic. This keeps the viewer's attention as there are many more cuts to commercials and every break has to end with some kind of cliffhanger to make sure you watch through the commercial.

I hate to just sound like a consoomer but watching Kitchen Nightmares UK opened me up to just how much better British TV is compared to American television. Unless it's a high production show on the level of Sopranos or Breaking Bad, British TV is almost always better for regular programming. In a way, it reminds me of what American TV was like in the 90s and before

>I'm American, but what do you suppose is wrong with us? Why do we need this shit? I can't believe we're really that different from everyone else and we deserve this.

there's nothing "wrong" with us compared to other Anglos in the UK, Canada, or Australia. The difference is that Jews have more power here and seek to dumb us down with shitty programming. Television programming was invented in the US, and up until the last 20 or 30 years most of the best shows were American. The fact is that our elites want us to have short attention spans and be prone to drama. I would imagine the corporations/advertisers make more money from the average American consumer than the average British consumer, thus we have more dramatic and annoying television.

I think if they showed the same type of programs in the UK, they would eventually watch it in similar numbers. The difference is that media companies seem to respect the average Brit slightly more. And I won't doubt that in general British media can be higher IQ than ours, but I really do think it's top down and an example of what elites want to program for the people, versus what the people actually want. Everyone always complains about the kardashians and other reality shows, yet they keep pumping them out anyway
