I find some of the East Asian buffets are fairly good, or at least passable. Brazilian steakhouses are great, though. Buffets are best when you're with friends or family, though (actually, this is true for restaurants in general).

One of the grossest things I think I have seen food wise, is people dipping their food in a chocolate fountain in a Golden Corral.
