Go for cold brew
Cold brew is the best drink on the line, doesn't have the problem of "going cold" like regular brewed coffee. Has a lot more caffeine than any other type of coffee too and you make it over night, you can even make it in huge batches which you stretch by cutting the extract in half with regular water or some milk.

However I cancelled it. I kept getting too many coffees that just werent the flavour profile I was hoping for.

If theres a certain type of coffee you want to explore, dont get a subscription. If you are happy to try it all, then it can be worth while.

Imagine living your life and caring if something is 'reddit' or '4chan'. What a sad, miserable existence.
Flairs/Manual Espresso in general is the cheapest way to make real espresso. The workflow is a little bit garbage, and preheating is a bitch. For what it's worth, it's $200 and get a device that can pull real shots and do pressure profiling that significantly more expensive machines can't do. It's the lowest cost option for 'true' espresso.

>>16853248
Traditional espresso requires finely ground coffee, 9 bars of pressure(130psi) maintained for ~30seconds, and ~205f water. Flairs are the cheapest way to that, and because they're direct levers you get VARIABLE pressure. Being able to adjust your pressure from shot to shot, second to second is a super premium feature requiring either a heavy investment in a machine, or some heavy modding. Its a free case and you can pick up a refurbed one for under $200. Toss on a $200 grinder and a pourover cone and you have a nearly full featured coffee bar for under 5 bills.

I’ve seen ones like you describe, but generally you just put a known quantity of coffee in and then add water to a predetermined level. It’s not uncommon to own 2 or 3 french press pots for preparing different quantities of coffee depending on how much coffee you need to make, not to say that you can’t just have a larger one and only fill it half full when you’re making coffee for yourself.
A scale is useful for measuring quantity if grounds, and then placing the french press on the scale and pouring water in until it you hit the target weight.

You’re kinda cute. How long have you been transitioning?

Lmao, the faggot and his 20k coffee maker is STILL throwing a tantrum about my coffee, lmao. Anyway, I did some more experimentation these past couple days, the evaporated milk > the sweetened condensed milk, the gellan emulsifies the coconut cream but I don't like the texture, I think 210s will work better.

>Bitter vietnamese coffee (or preferred coffee. Cheaper coffees require no cold brew hot bloom and can be directly cold brewed).
RATIO: ONE CUP COFFEE-4 CUPS WATER
>Cardamom (1 teaspoon)
>Vanilla extract,
>Cinnamon (about 1/2 to 1 stick, or, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground),
>Ginger (4 teaspoons),
>Nutmeg (1 teaspoon. Remember that nutmeg is sweet and you're adding sweetened milk, this recipe makes 4 servings!) to taste,
>1/4 cup coconut cream (NOT CREAM OF COCONUT, that is sweetened), 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (total, so 1/16 cup or 1 tablespoon per drink, of each),

Cold brew, hot bloom your coffee: pour about 1.5 cups of hot water over the grounds, shove your spices and vanilla in while it's still hot, allow to bloom for 30 seconds, then pour over the rest of your water. Let steep in the fridge or at room temp--covered, obviously--overnight. Let those flavors get to know eachother and mingle. You can add your 1/2 cup coconut cream and 1/2 cup evap. milk now, or 1/16 cup each, per drink, when you are serving it. I prefer now.

You can add your 1/2 cup coconut cream and 1/2 cup S.C. milk now, or 1/16 cup each, per drink, when you are serving it. I prefer now.

Take that bitch out, filter it through a fine meshed sieve. Drink it.

Jesus. I've never tried it. I recently saw some green gesha for $15/lb and I almost bought some but I started thinking if I really liked it I'd be fucked. It's just too fucking expensive when you can get lovely, balanced, floral wet-process Ethiopia greens for $7-8/lb. Curious though. Let us know if it was worth the $60. I think Hawaiian and Jamaican coffees are really good, too, but the prices aren't justifiable. Rare coffee be like that.

Its going to be exactly as good as any other ~$15 french press from an OEM out of china. Do you think Ikea is actually manufacturing these themselves? Its a glass beaker with a loosely gasketed piece of stainless steel mesh held in place by a lid. There's not too much variance in how they work or are assembled.

It would make sense for La Pavoni to release a revised 53mm or 58mm grouphead without the thermal issues and a bigger yield capacity because I dont know who would buy a La Pavoni lever other than for old world antique appeal right now. Especially with the Flairs and Odyssey outcompeting them in the sub $1000 lever market segment.

>revised 53mm or 58mm grouphead without the thermal issues
You going to put the heat sink on yours? And yeah, it sucks getting locked into a proprietary gh size. If the flair 58 didn't come out I'd have honestly ran the signature until I felt like buying a cremina(also don't like the size) or a decent.

Nah, The heat sink ruins the classical look of the machine. Ill probably get a bong isolator if coffee sensor comes up with a better and more discrete design that doesnt bend over time with use. gesha anon here
followed the roaster's pourover recommendation, 20g to 340g in 4:30

Extremely floral, almost tea-like. Lots of tropical fruit, watermelon and papaya, late sweetness on the finish. Acid is surprisingly mellow for a light roast. A very good cup but I can't really justify having this as anything besides a celebratory treat for the price.
