One of my favorite cocktails, extremely simple too. It's just dark rum (Myer's, Kraken or Gosling's) floated on top of ginger beer with a splash of lime juice. I leave the lime out and don't bother floating when I'm alone half the time and it still tastes fantastic.

Not in a wheelchair yet but i suffered a broken acetabulum 4 years ago and my back pain has grown substantially. Also my orthopedic surgeon told me post op to expect arthritis in my hip or back by 30 and to need total hip replacement or wheelchair bound by my 50’s. I didnt drive without a seatbelt for no reason though. Im an autist and i knew that my life meant nothing. I just wish i died instead of being saved though.

Forgot to add that Cruzan and Angustora also make good dark & stormies. Cruzan is my favorite mixer because it's dirt cheap and strongly rum flavored. Angustura almost has a robitussin flavor, but in a good way, coming from somebody who gags on cough syrup. Highly recommend ordering one or making it for yourself.

I woke up today at 8 am and drank a tall can to fall asleep. Then from 12pm-2 drank 3 more. And to cap it off, I drank 8 beers in the last 4-5 hours (it's almost midnight). Had to stop drinking because I had the fear for like two months straight. I just kept drinking more and more to deal with it. I was going through half a handle of wild turkey a night. One night I blacked out and woke up wandering the street at 5am covered in puke a mile from home. I haven't had a drink since. It was hellish for a week but I'm much better now.
