I'm one of those "rare" people who understands the concept of moderation, where you don't have to pick one extreme or the other, but a comfortable middle ground. I eat my steak neither raw or as dry beef jerky, but a perfect tender and juicy medium rare. Also when cooking toast, I don't just eat the bread straight from the bag, nor do I burn it to a crisp, but I find a nice happy medium.
