fresh and newly-dried bay leaves add a nice oriental flavor profile to stews. if you forget to add them, you'll notice something's off.

Too excited to chill, bro.
It’s been literal days since the last /bldngen/ thread.
I was starting to worry bay leaves did something.

I just like them because when I run into one in soup I go "lol, it's like leaves from a tree" then I continue.

Also grows all over the place and people pay money for it. I read that rodents will eat it and get sent to hell because, it is sharp.

Hi /bldngen/, question for you. I have a 42.5% eucalyptol harvest, but I'm trying to get 45%.
What can I do to get that higher?

Easy: get real bay leaves from an actual tree and then sun dry them.

Totally different herb compared to the inert packaged stuff you urbanoid cum-eaters and flyover tastelets are familiar with.

>> No.16820175

bay leaves have a sort of minty/eucalyptus flavor. if you open a container of bay leaves and can't smell anything, they're expired and you need to throw them out and get new ones

A lot of ingredients add very subtle flavors that most diners wouldn't notice unless those flavors were taken away. You know what you call those? Secret ingredients.
