a lot of those retards thrive on being seen out in public with other people. it is a truly empty existence.

My food will be cold by the time I get home. The entire point of going to a place and ordering food is that it's made fresh and hot for you.

because some of us live in shitty one bedroom apartments that are infested with roaches in the kitchen and rats in the walls and big smelly stains on the floor that may be dried blood from when the previous drug dealing tenet using this room as a meth lab got shot by cops and the landlord didn't bother having it cleaned and on top of that you have to listen to the fat brown Mexican neighbors yelling at their kids in Spanish all night long and sometimes you can hear them fucking or you can hear the whore popping out another Mexican bean out of her used gaping hallway of a vagina and then the stupid kids that don't go to school fucking harasses you in the morning when you walk to your car to go to work and at night when you come home and then you have to check all of your things to make she those fucking spics didn't steal anything. So yeah, Some of us would prefer a night out at a McDonald's or Burger King then eating at home and inevitably puke it back up when you hear the Mexicans fucking. GOD I can smell that pussy stench through my walls. It's like that whole family doesn't bathe or something. shit....

I work for food delivery apps, and I absolutely cringe when people order from dining restaurants like macaroni grill, applebees, olive garden. Because the purpose of those places is to eat inside and eat with people, refills on soda, unlimited soups, enjoying their air condition, etc.

The most I cringed was during initial covid when a popular steak place was only doing take-out. I can only imagine the amount of angry callers that said their steak was raw or wasn't done right, most likely demanding refunds and demanding another driver deliver the proper steak. So yes I think ordering restraunt food to your door is silly (although you do pay my bills).

Yeah but the polite thing to do is say “one check” and everyone thinks you’re a psycho if you ask for separate checks. I’ve seen it several times, but I hate beating around the bush and just ask for separate checks anyways

It’s actually an American culture thing. One of the people at the table is suppose to offer to pay the whole bill so they can wrangle some social credit. Then everyone else is suppose to argue about who pays and then one guys is suppose to sneak his credit card to the waiter. Everone then spend the rest of the night feeling guilty about and thinking how they can repay his “kindness” when really it was a social stunt that he expects to get paid back. Then everyone feels bad and tries to do the same thing the next time you go out. It’s a stupid game boomers play, and I wish the younger generation got rid of it.

But.. we did? I've literally never been around people my age who pay for whole checks. We usually split and if you """can't""" cover it at that instant then you're expected to Venmo/cash app that debt later. Also, fuck boomers.

You're both retarded. They assume you want to split the check unless you tell them otherwise or it's just 2 people who appear to be on a date. There is no assumption that one person is going to pick up the check unless you're hanging out with psychopaths. Normal adults assume and understand they are expected to pay for their own food unless someone has explicitly offered to treat them.

I have yet to receive food in a box/bag from a not-fast-food restaurant without getting noticeably less or simply inferior food due to the time going from the kitchen until you start eating. It also tends to be somewhat mushed even if separated in different compartments in said box. You really lose a lot of appeal simply by increasing the time from cooked to sitting down and eating by 5min.
I truly enjoy restaurant food more simply if it's served hot and fresh, especially on things like a sizzling cast iron slab.
I also believe boxing in the steam the food exudes dampens the whole thing in an unsatisfying way.

Let's not forget that a lot of restaurants are dirty. when I seen staff wipe tables very quick and with the same rag for multiple tables. Also had plates and silverware have filth on them. that's just gross imo

>> No.16806181

>>16806153
Anon the purpose of wiping the table down is to remove debris and spills, not sterilize it. Your food shouldn't be coming into contact with the table, they just want to do you the courtesy of not having bits of the last guest's meal lying about. That said the rags they're wiping up with are generally soaked in a sanitizing solution to help keep things decently clean.
