I didn't mind it becoming more available but this feels like a bubble. How long before it becomes déclassé, /ck/?

It won't, it'll just become another common type of wine.

This is a good thing.

You live in a bubble, most wine consumers haven't even heard of orange wine.

It won't continue to be as big as it is, trendoids are already moving onto chilled reds, for example. It will always be there though and it will remain bigger than it ever was in the past.

Most wine consumers drink Franzia. The tastes of most wine consumers are not an indicator of quality or constancy.

I thought chilled reds already came and went with the "not your dad's lambrusco" micro-fad in the '00s not to mention all the bed-stuy types jerking off over their "quaffable" zweigelts and blaufrankischen in the mid-obama years. What are the trendoids doing to it now?

The question wasn't about quality or constancy, it's about what you can find at stores. A lot of stores still don't have any orange wine apart from maybe a piecemeal section off in the corner. I don't know what country you live in, but I doubt it's any different.

Now they have graphic design student labels and are made using carbonic maceration with any grapes that the 30 year old winemaker can afford to buy.

Also Austrian reds are back, Claus Preisinger's Puszta Libre is very very popular in those circles.

I thought citrus fruits tasted like ass if you fermented them.

It's orange coloured wine, i.e. white grape wine with skin contact, not wine made from oranges.

just wanna say I could beat the shit out of every single person in this thread. It wouldn't even be a fight, I'd just pummel the absolute shit out of any of you.
Think about that the next time you're having your fancy little wine. Think about how it'd feel to have me beat the absolute shit out of you.

>carbonic maceration
Oh god yeah what's up with literally every light bodied red wine having that fucking carbonic maceration taste now? I'm even getting it in chilean and portuguese stuff now. It was fun for the first 20 bottles or so but find a new gimmick ffs, not everything has to taste like some bojo cru meme wine
