>Thomas Keller's bouchon bistro
It's in the rooftop garden on The Venetian

>Bouchon bakery
It's a bakery on the first floor of the Venetian kind of hard to find but the bakery provides all the bread and pastries for the main restaurant get there early because they sell out of things fast but it'll be the best French pastries you ever had.

>Amano
It's a pizza place that's famous for making pasta sandwiches and other over the top items like a pizza calzone combo it's kind of a meme but it was really good when me and my girlfriend went a few years ago (although I just looked at the Instagram and now they're saying something about you have to book a week in advance, not worth it if you have to do that)
We went randomly on like a Thursday afternoon and the place was empty.

>Bruno's taco bar
Had really good elotes and burritos and tacos was a really good place but it was kind of off the strip you would need to rent a car to go here.

>Paina cafe
It's a Hawaiian / Asian Cafe in Chinatown near the edge of Las Vegas the food looks good but I never tried it but they're mochi donuts and desserts were fucking amazing

>The eye of Vegas
big ferris wheel on the strip it takes you up like 50 stories, go at night so you can see all the Las Vegas lights and get the bar cart. it's like 25 or $30 a person the whole experience is like 30 to 40 minutes long and bartender was handing me two drinks at a time I got plastered in the first 10 minutes.

There's a lot of good places but also a lot of shit places
Black tap, it's just sugar, the wicked spoon, any celebrity chefs restaurant, ect.
you can go on Instagram there's a lot of good food pages about Las Vegas, find something that looks good then look up their menu and see if they specialize in something if they don't specialize it's meme overpriced shitty food that's only meant to look good on Instagram. every restaurant in Las Vegas tries to outdo each other with over the top stuff most are just shitty tourist traps.

It's my favorite resort it looks beautiful and the price usually high enough to keep out all the niggers and trash.

I also suggest you go down to Fremont Street on a Friday or Saturday night everything is cheap there and it's always a big party (like I said that it's been 4 years since I've been to Vegas and I heard a lot's changed since the coof)

Cesars palace buffet is pretty fucking solid. AYCE king crab legs, every type of steak etc. I fucked up though and ate this delicious pork, slow braised in chili peppers. Delicious, but also probably like their cheapest food. Try not to eat before going in.

You can find literally anything you want, it’s just a matter of budget.
Damn near every celebrity chef has restaurants in Vegas If that’s what you’re into.
A lot of people also try In-n-out while they’re there, if it’s not available where they live, so they can see what the fuss is about.
The only must-visit places are Asian massage parlors.

Just got back from Vegas and had some really good food. Craftsteak is on the spendy side but worth it. Also ate at a vegetarian place called Blackout where you dine in complete darkness. It's mostly for the experience but the food was decent and you get 7 courses. On the cheaper side, Jessie Rae's BBQ was phenomenal.

Biggest disappointment was Bacchanal buffet at Caesars. They clearly prioritize quantity over quality. Tons of mediocre food but at least the desserts were good.

Agree with Bouchon. One of the few places in Vegas that lives up to the hype.

There's also a fantastic Brazilian Churrascaria at the Planet Hollywood shops area, I believe they have a really good Yelp coupon that's still around.

Vegas also has surprisingly good AYCE Korean BBQ places that also serve decent AYCE sushi too. I would avoid the higher end buffets personally unless you are a massive, massive, volume eater. I'm a big boy myself, however with prices for places like Bacchanal at Caesar's Palace going up to like $80+ per person, it's getting really hard to justify.

I was basically forced to go to this Chayo Mexican restaurant/tequila bar - for breakfast. Everything about the place screams shithole. Mechanical bull, tequila, next to a frat boy party casino, bad google reviews. Everywhere else in the area had lines around the block, so we went to the first place that had open tables. Fuck me if the breakfast wasnt delicious and relaxing. Sat inside but it is open air in the mornings. I had the "CHILAQUILES"

I've realized that people make up a lot of bizarre rules and then blame it on covid. Last week I walked up to order at the wienerschnitzel window and it was fine. Today i walked up and they said I had to go to the drive-thru.. for unknown reasons (covid). And every public bathroom in the city are still closed due to laziness, but it's blamed on covid. I actually reported a dollar tree and found their district manager, and he told me that manager should not have been locking the bathroom doors, they just didn't want to clean them up. I only reported the store because the bitch gave me an attitude when I asked if she could explain exactly why the bathroom was locked.

Buffets used to be viewed as a loss leader to get you to come into the property and gamble, but in this day and age, gaming has been stagnant profit wise for nearly 20 years, and that's pre-coof. We'd long been toying with the idea of closing all of them but the high end ones, or only handing out free breakfast vouchers with nothing but the cheapest of foods.

To be fair I've only been to Vegas on weekends and holidays traveling there by car from Southern California, going at least once a year for the past 30 years. It's just something I started to notice when I'd be roaming around drunk at 2 or 3 in the morn looking for friends when we were all still taking trips to get wasted and go clubbing like retards in our youth. They come alone, sometimes in pairs, and frequently approach you first if you're just sitting for a minute on a slot machine to have a cig. >> No.16793238

Well, I drink heavily, but yeah, the quality of life is pretty awesome. The only current issue is that people are moving here in droves during remote work changes, and it's making the housing market skyrocket. In a way, that's great (I got my house for $113k and it now is estimated at $365k), but it's tough to find other housing, and the people who actually work here can't afford anything.

(Admittedly, I'm part of that problem, my offices are based in Chicago, so I make Chicago pay with none of the taxes.)

The suburbs aren't all that far from the center of the city (with exceptions), and it's badass to go get world class food and entertainment each night. Getting girls here sucks though. The local girls are all industry messes, tourists are very unlikely to hop in your car and drive 20 minutes home to a house to hook up.

The nice suburbs there like Summerlin are amazing and super close, I have serious considerations in purchasing a second home there once this crazy market finally implodes into itself. Friends who lived there for years told me one of the best things about living there is you can gather up to meet just about anywhere and everyone can get there and park reasonably easy and get there at a consistently reliable time because the city isn't too huge nor is traffic too bad when you know all the local streets.

>JP fast food is pretty hilarious about this
I fukkin loved going to one of the more established okonomiyaki places in Osaka and ordering their “American style okonomiyaki”.
It was topped with “bacon, corn, and cheese”.
Just like the traditional American okonomiyaki my grandmother used to serve.

Very fast and well-staffed, only time I've seen it with 30 minute lines was when there was a big college game at the Cox Pavillion. Some other In-N-Outs I've been to have a tendency to overcook the patties, the one in Henderson is terrible for example, while the UNLV one is almost always super juicy. I've seen some people bitch about In-N-Out having flavorless/barely-salted fries and at a couple locations that has been true, but that particular location nails it.

ping pang pong at the gold coast. their hot and sour soup is delicious, includes pork, and is probably the best bang for you buck at $9. its a huge portion that is easily 2-3 meals on its own. their pot stickers are huge too and would count as a meal. their xo shrimp lai fen is pretty good too, just wish they added more shrimp to it (tons of noodles and only 6 pieces of shrimp). next time i go i plan to try their kung pao chicken or chicken with black bean sauce.

Michael's at the South Point is the best restaurant in town imho, but its about 100 bucks a plate if not more. It depends on what you are looking to eat though. Le Circe was pretty good, still very expensive though. My favorite go to restaurants are usually hole in the wall asian or mexican places like the rice and noodle or faustos. Tacos mexico is good i think its on Sahara ave. Sushi yama on Maryland parkway is good. Oyshi sushi is also good. There is a good ramen restaurant on Spring Mountain called ramen soryu? I think, i only ate there once. Lucille's is pretty good for a bbq place. For italian there is a place on flamingo called Noras. I'm not mentioning alot of places on the strip because they are all over priced like the first restaurants i mentioned.

it's where all the chinks eat dinner. it's best to go for a late lunch/early dinner to avoid the long line of asians waiting to be seated.
the cornerstone steakhouse bar is also great during happy hour. $6 glasses of wine, delicious french onion soup and their tempura shrimp appetizer is quite good. great to place a sports bet then head over to the bar during happy hour to watch the game, eat, drink, and chat with a friend. its best during the week during happy hour when there aren't many people at the bar so you can sit there for a few hours no problem.

Yeah, I'm in Green Valley, and I'm in one of the safest communities one can find. Three cops will show up for every traffic ticket.

It's definitely nice to never really need to think twice about parking. Street parking isn't really a thing here. Everything has a parking lot or parking garage, outside of the Raiders stadium. That's definitely dope. The only pain in the ass is that our public transport fucking sucks, so you'd better be ready to always drive.

There's only so many people willing to put in the money, functionally, and only so many ways to incentivize them. In a positive note, companies and governments have been taking responsible gaming initiatives seriously. And it's not like you can really raise the price of entry into gaming.

Now, can I hand 4chan hard numbers? No, but the rest of the company has it. Why do you think Vegas resorts have been installing paid parking kiosks, resort fees, and are becoming more of a destination focused around luxury and entertainment?

Balancing Las Vegas growth has become so much more focused on the occupancy and restaurant revenue than trying to grow gaming loyalty, so we've long realized the cash customer is more of a myth than it was in the early days. Macau and Atlantic City bring their own challenges.

I really love buffets and please don't stop with these. I love Vegas and I don't really drink or gamble so the food is where it is at. Slots fuck me over though because vidya addict.

I'm thinking about moving to Vegas as I do a lot of business out there since there are so many conventions all the time. Going to head out to your town probably early next year to spend a few weeks in airbnbs.

I fucking love the hospitality industry and met a lot of great people in positions like yours. Fun crowd for me. I was there at a real estate convention right as they were shutting down everything for covid. Spent some time with the locals at a hookah lounge watching everyone party as they saw their jobs going away. It was surreal as fuck.

Any tips on good neighborhoods that are not Summerlin? I might just look at a high rise but I would like to find a spot with a pool (t. San Diego, this is a rough move) and if possible some space.

Mandalay Bay casino.
Got a free drink at the spa which was nice but honestly all the people who work there are super annoying. I mean sure they look like models but they're always asking how much your room costs and what's your favorite thing to do here and stuff.
I'm pretty sure everyone knows this already but Mandalay Bay has an indoor water park called Wet Republic where you could take a gondola ride through the lagoon and get soaked with mist from jetski boats and shit. It was fun but after getting wet you'd get cold so we didn't stay too long.
After that we took a cab back to our hotel and then headed straight down to the Mirage pool.
Mirage is one of those resorts that doesn't have any restaurants in its hotels instead having them outside on property but since we booked the suite right next door to the pool we decided to try some of their food before heading into town again.
So we walked around the resort and checked out the shops but nothing caught my attention besides the souvenirs, it seemed like every store sold stuff with tigers on it. The most interesting shop though was probably the "Havana" cigar shop. They had Cuban cigars and everything you needed to make them including grinders, lighters, and ashtrays. There were also books about cigars and even a magazine called Cigar Aficionado that had reviews for different brands and types of tobacco.

I don't really feel like there's that much more black people or crime on the Strip right now... some, but not as much. Coming right out of the pandemic? Yeah, that was a thing. I've been on the Strip in the past month twice, and everything felt fine. Only once on a high traffic night though.

>>16802223
A day late on my reply bro, but Henderson/Green Valley is where I live, and there's plenty of pools. It's extraordinarily safe. Interestingly, the Mountain's Edge area is apparently more dangerous, despite being newer, because housing prices were low and let some questionable people buy new houses. It's also far from things and part of the urban spread. Same with the urban spread for Aliante and Anthem. The incredible thing about where I live is that it's 20 minutes to the Strip, but super safe, and not purely suburbia. We're starting to stretch out.

I think buffets are fine, but it's just not the kind of eater I am. I can drop $25-$75 on a nice plate at dinner, and get higher quality food/alcohol. I've only ever eaten at Bachannal for free, and I can't imagine walking out of there feeling like I got my $75 worth.
