Filling and greasy. Really tasty when you're in the mood, but not something you'd have every day. The best part to me is that while there's a typical few ingredients that it'll always have (bacon, sausage, egg, beans, some form of bread & butter, many people include tomatoes and mushrooms) you can customise it a bit to your tastes. I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes and mushrooms so I omit those, and I melt some cheddar into the beans. I prefer to toast the bread, though it's not bad fried, but with everything else it can get a bit too heavy on the oil for my tastes. Some people include black pudding and other items.
It's super easy to make anon and barely takes any time - if anything it can take longer to clean up all the different pans and pots you've just used. Grab a bunch of things you like and go nuts - can double as a dinner if you're making a lot.

Eh, they're fine - they're like the most commercial 'default' tea you can get. They're nothing amazing but for a taste of probably what most families will have in their cupboards they'll do.
Irn Bru is an interesting taste - baked beans I'm aware are a different kind of thing altogether in the USA so it might be worth trying a tin of those, on toast or with some sausages & chips/fries.

Funny enough, those are “your” original baked beans since they were a staple when we were still England.
But yeah, quite different. They’re traditionally cooked with sugar & molasses.
I’ve tried the Heinz beans on toast and thought they were quite good.
Most Americans don’t realize they’re totally different and much lighter, which is why most Americans think it seems crazy for baked beans to be a breakfast item.

Anon, you guys have the saying "as American as apple pie". Apple pie is British. I have also seen many, many recipes along the lines of
>American stew!
>American pot roast!
and there is no difference between it and a British stew or pot roast. There's also a weird bit of historical fuckery where a lot of British dishes are called "Irish" for obvious reasons. I also see people claiming stuff like macaroni cheese or spaghetti bolognese are Italian simply because they have pasta, even though neither of those dishes are exactly amazing. Then, when it comes to something like stews made with beer or cider, or pies and that sort of thing, you'll often see people say "but other countries do that too!" even though nobody would say a Belgian claiming beef carbonnade was wrong because the UK also has beer based beef stews.
What I'm saying is that there's a genuine reluctance to admit British cuisine is basically totally unremarkable, in the same way people get actively affronted when you mention that Japanese suicide rates are actually pretty good or any other ingrained stereotype is wrong.

Tea remained popular for most of America's history. It only became unpopular during WWII due to the war in the oceans disrupting shipping from India and China. Since coffee comes from central and south America it took tea's place.

The other factor was businesses invented coffee breaks when they realized it increased productivity. Coffee's a more efficient stimulant for the wageslaves. Thus coffee became corporate culture.

Offline, outside 4chan, the UK has a fair amount of cultural soft power here with their James Bond and Ed Sheeran and their prince marrying one of our sheboons. Pretty much everyone is fond of British pop culture so it would be odd to seethe about tea.

That's the case of a lot of things in the USA, isn't it? Like how we used to call Autumn 'Fall' as well, and the American accent is closer to what the old English accent used to be. It's one of those things where we make fun but most people are unaware of that kind of stuff.

Nah, it's just idiots who go bananas over the fact American accents are rhotic and English accents used to be too. But the thing is, some English accents ARE still rhotic. The West Country accent (and dialect) is a lot closer to what all English people sounded like four hundred years ago than most accents in America.
