As someone from St. Louis I'm sorry for 99% of the shit you people outside of the area get when you order these, no one really knows how to make them right but us

>> No.16770388

no one orders those or thinks about st. louis but I appreciate the apology anyway

>> No.16770526

the worst toasted ravioli i've ever had was in st louis. granted, i wasn't breaking the bank, i was at pasta house or whatever the fuck so really that's my fault, but i maintain that all the food in your city is complete bullshit. your pizza is the worst in the entire fucking world and for some reason all of you love pretending that velveeta on a burnt cracker with ketchup is something to be proud of.

>> No.16770537

>St. Louis-style pizza is a distinct type of pizza popular in the Midwestern city of St. Louis, Missouri[1] and surrounding areas. The definitive characteristics of St. Louis-style pizza are a very thin cracker-like crust made without yeast, the common (but not universal) use of Provel processed cheese, and pizzas cut into squares or rectangles instead of wedges.
My opinion of that city drops every day

I've had it and it was quite literally the worst pizza experience of my life. my boys and I ordered 2 and ate about 10 squares between us before throwing the rest out and getting burger king on the way to our friends house

He's right about the pizza.
The secret to provel is that it's actually great for home oven pizza, due to the melting point and thinness of the pie.
But Imo's is overpriced and just a hair better, Cecil Whittaker is half a step up, and places that serve a better provel pizza have always had better pizza otherwise.

Toasted ravioli is great though.

Idk, I spent a couple of nights in St Louis, sleeping in my car on a long road trip, had a great time. Thought about doing the same thing when I pulled into Chicago, heard gunshots the entire time I was in that city, which was only about an hour before I decided that I should find some other part of Illinois to sleep in for the night. The blacks in St Louis were welcoming and fun, the blacks in Chicago all looked like they were going to try to run down a moving car to rob.

I vacation in your state often. I like NWA and the Ozarks. Kansas City and St. Louis are neat, but you lose the hillbilly aesthetic. Springfield is somewhere I could maybe live since I'm trailer trash and am used to that sort of thing. Branson fucking sucks, but some of the areas it borders are the best in the country.

I'm very picky about fried ravioli. I like when it's tender edge to edge, and there's not a huge pocket of air inside with a teaspoon of grimy meat. I've had it good maybe twice in my entire life, and it was never in St. Louis. Recommend me a place, because I'm going to vacation there before the end of the year.

St Louis sucks and will be abandoned by 2050. It's already like a mad max movie. Louisa frozen toasted ravioli is just as good as anywhere. Let's not kid ourselves. It's just ravioli that's been breaded and deep fried. Imos however is very good but not worth the $20 they charge. You can make your own with a blend of white cheddar, provolone, and swiss.

It kept getting worse kek

And deep fried ravioli? I’ve had it once or twice as a shared app and it was pretty good but what kind of lardass eats this as a meal let alone thinks it is some special regional food that can’t be replicated?
