You too fancy for meatloaf? It's integral to the flyover feast

Aren't meatballs a better vessel for sauce, spices, and seasoning? Sure the cooking process is more involved but it's easier to eat and is more flavorful

I love all meatloaf, except for my dad's. He's the only retarded fucker I know who uses a tomato sauce instead of just a glaze of ketchup. He's also afraid of putting anything in it other than the binder, egg, and me. No mushrooms, no peppers, no onions, he's even afraid of fresh cracked black pepper, he likes to use the same shaker that went stale the week it was bought.

For me, it's meatloaf that uses my bread pan so it fits perfectly on my bread for meatloaf sandwiches

People struggle with a good meatloaf but it’s really simple, and doesn’t involve ketchup or tomato sauce at all.

When I first met my future ex-wife, she had a tin of "fresh ground black pepper".
I asked her how many years old it was, and she couldn't recall.

I like to mix ketchup, Wooster, brown sugar and soy sauce for the glaze

I also put a squirt of ketchup and a fair amount of
wooster into the dough itself, along with some cumin and little dried basil
Salt pepper and garlic of course
And obviously onions milk egg and breadcrumbs

Just wish I knew how to keep it from shrinking in the bread pan

If I ever get around to opening a restaurant, meatloaf will be one of my flagships. It's so easy and you can set it next to some really beautiful roasted vegetables and charge 24 dollarydoos

Sad, my mom always made it in the mini loaf pans and used oats instead of the bread crumbs. I think the smaller loaves gave a better glaze to meat ratio

The Onyo guy has a pretty good recipe. Just make sure you use an oven temp of 350 instead of the 425 he says in the video.

Considering how much hate /ck/ has for ketchup based on its sugar content, using it as a glaze should be its one redeeming application.

Idk but a couple people have told me it's the best meatloaf they've ever had, so I think the milk helps.

I just assume most people suck at cooking which is why there's so many ass blasted meat loaf haters lol

My mom makes great meatloaf.
Use ground ribeye, mix with bell peppers and onions. Baste in bbq sauce
Wrap in bacon weave
Baste again
GRILL, don’t bake
