Not really much, most of what we eat comes from the immigrants. Things like chicken parmi, fish and chips, Chinese food. You can try cooking kangaroo steak, damper or BBQ prawns. Otherwise, a meat pie or some pavlova is what I can think is uniquely Australian.

this has me wondering, why doesn't someone make a box of crackers where the cheese is already on the cracker? it can come with a spicy version that has a swirl of sriracha between the cheese and cracker. there could be a caviar one, and a pork cracker one - where the stuff is lodged into the slightly melted cheese where it stiffens up again and keeps everything en place.

Australia has terrible food, and hardly any culture. Lived here all my life and worked as a chef for a while. When I'd come into work with fast food style recipes I got from the internet, everyone would think I'm some kind of God tier cook. When I was growing up people didn't know how to make shit like fried chicken, they thought it was coated in breadcrumbs. Even food people ate all the time they had no idea how to make well. Something as simple as making a chicken gravy by using chicken fat as a roux is too advanced for retard Australians.

Americans are similar, but because each region tends to have fare they are proud of, you'll get a lot of them who only cook one particular subset of food (often relying on sugar and fat to carry the flavor in lieu of actual planning or technique) and are ignorant of everything else. True of all areas, but the South can be especially bad with this. Low effort, clinging to tradition. Nowadays it has shifted more towards the scenario you described where the majority doesn't cook at all. I remember a few friends being awestruck when I made chicken soup not from a can.
