Let’s settle this once and for all. Drums or Flats?

Flats, objectively

>> No.16742794

>>16742779
Anyone who says they prefer drums, well, you can go out to eat with me anytime cause I don't like em

>> No.16742796

>>16742779
I'm not really that partial to either. But, if I had to choose, it would be the drums.

>> No.16742800

You cannot choose, the drum cannot exist without the flat or vice versa it is a matter of chicken anatomy. I consider myself a wing aficionado and I really could not say I prefer one to the other. If I absolutely had to choose, I would pick drums simply because they eat better when cold. I seriously enjoy taking those last few wings out of the fridge and just eating them cold, still with blue cheese though.

>> No.16742805

>>16742779
Depends on the size.
Small drums have more meat and cartilage.
Small flats have more skin.

Big drums have way more meat and flavor.
Big flats still just have more skin.

Personally I really enjoy eating the cartilage on small drums, but I don't care to do so with bigger ones.

>> No.16742810

I like them both because I'm not autistic.

>> No.16742816

>>16742779
One should have both, to keep healthy.

I do prefer flats but an order of all flats is shit. A lot of pubs in Sydney only serve drumettes which blows my fucking mind. Where are all the flats going? I swear there's a black market of wing flats and they're reserved for rich people in the eastern suburbs

>> No.16742818

Wings are a scam and should be banned.

>> No.16742877

I understand now, how could I have been so blind to the truth?

Its the worst part of the chicken covered up with vinegar/oil/fat sauce for absurd prices. Fat people obese over them like a delicacy.

>> No.16742935

>>16742886
It was never the worst part of the chicken. That's just what tastelets like you think. Of course the sauce is the selling point. And not all wing sauces are just cheap hot sauce and butter. If you don't want to pay someone to make them for you, you can always make them yourself. That's what I prefer to do.

Is that an offer, anon?

>You cannot choose, the drum cannot exist without the flat or vice versa it is a matter of chicken anatomy.
I don’t even know where to begin but you appear to be a midwit trying to sound wise. The drums and flats cannot exist without brains and assholes either. You’re saying you can’t prefer the drum over the brain or the flat over the asshole, which is of course wrong.
>I consider myself a wing aficionado
Oh boy…
>and I really could not say I prefer one to the other.
Do you know what aficionado means?
>If I absolutely had to choose, I would pick drums
No surprise here as flats are the patrician choice.
>simply because they eat better when cold.
So you base your decision on old, cold food aka unprepared leftovers.
>I seriously enjoy taking those last few wings out of the fridge and just eating them cold, still with blue cheese though.
Typical drum “aficionado”.

Yeah at the beginning I was waxing a bit philosophical. When I say aficionado, I mean I have eaten wings everywhere. Including in my mom's hometown of Buffalo NY. Back in the day, some places didn't even separate the wings. You'd get the full wing with the tip attached, there was no such thing as a drum or a flat. A lot of people want to say the flat is better because it gives them the opportunity to brag about the "right way" to eat a flat, which I have no patience for. I eat wings clean with one hand because you gotta keep the other hand clean for your beer. And I am telling you, I cannot be convinced one part is better than the other. It's all wing, baby.

I prefer flats. I especially like when they still have the wing tip still attached so I can nibble on the skin and cartilage. That said, I always order mixed wings. To me, half the fun of eating bone-in chicken is the variety of having different pieces instead of it all being homogenous like chicken tenders.
