Let’s make every candy and fruit taste the same by putting dry ass chili powder stuff on it.

>> No.16728450

If you had nothing else to eat, you'd be very grateful to be eating dry ass candy.

>> No.16728453

Is it dry ass, candy or dry, ass candy? This is important.

These are great with lime. Most everything is great with lime actually.
Also op posted vero which makes the only good mango ones. Other brands mango pops tend to have shittier chili powder, that will come off right away. Also op is a homosexual but I don’t judge.

Don’t forget the corn ones that are really strawberry. I usually eat just the chili then toss the hard candy on the grass for the ants. I miss doing that at the parks I used to go to with my crazy ex.

Also OP, traditional Mexican candy is not the chili/tamarind/salt bombs that are modern candy. Old timey candy was made of stuff like fruits, a lot of them fruits popular in Mexico but not the u.s., almonds, pistachios, condensed milk, sesame, cinnamon, coconut, vegetables like yam, and a lot of creative premodern use of ingredients. You get real shitty low quality versions of a small variety of these candies in Mexican American stores, but the traditional stuff is found in Mexican downtowns and are often recipes hundreds of years old and with a direct connection to old school European candy making as well. Not that the mental niggers on 4chan are ever aware of stuff like this.

don’t think so. They been making it in central Mexico for a long time though. I think they’re credited with inventing mole and chiles en nogada possibly. All my knowledge of this shit is very basic you should ask Rick Bayless the thieving cunt.

Or maybe they did

Rompope originated in Puebla, Mexico in the 1600’s at the Convento de Santa Clara. The nuns prepared Rompope to welcome guests to the convent. The nuns appealed to the Mother Superior and soon began making Rompope daily. With the rising popularity the nuns began to bottle the Rompope to raise money for the convent. The love for Rompope quickly spread throughout Mexico with each region creating new variations. Flavors include chocolate, vanilla, pine nuts, almonds or cinnamon.
