Why do people pretend to like spices? If they were good people would eat them on their own, like every other good ingredient. Every dish is better without spices.

Why do people assume that because they don't like something, it's because everyone else is just pretending to like it?

I know this is probably a bait thread but the experience of going to peoples houses and realizing they don’t use any spices at all is just the worst.

I disironically don't use spices. It doesn't make enough difference to the taste to justify buying them.

I wonder what a peanut butter and jelly sandwich would taste like with some curry powder and some chili powder and some rosemary and maybe some marjoram as well.

>> No.16723987

>>16723978
The marjoram/rosemary would complement the peanut butter and make it taste meaty. The chili/curry powder would make the jelly taste like a spicy Mexican sweet snack. It would taste like you are eating these two types of foods together, on bread.

Why do people pretend to like bbq sauce, if it was actually good you'd pour a glass and drink it.

Nice logic friend. You use less spices because they have a strong taste usually so you use and need to use less of them. The same way you don't eat strong tasting foods like blue cheese by the pound.

Spices and herbs are the same thing they just come from different parts of the plant. Spice is brown and herbs is green.

Nobody chomps on butter sticks, does that make butter a bad ingredient?
Wait, don't answer that, a fat fuck like you probably does.
