I've bought a deep fryer, primarily to try to create McDonalds french fries.
What are some other good recipes I can use it for?
Are there any recipes that taste just like the fast food equivalent like KFC?

I find that Peanut Oil really helps with the whole "fast food" flavor profile. Made some wings with it and a quick batter, tasted just like mcnuggers.

Yes, having a machine automatically regulate the heating element rather than having to keep an eye on a thermometer and adjusting your stove accordingly is easier. And many people have electric stoves which are far slower to respond to adjustment
