This. Precooked shrimp is awful. I think a lot of the people who hate shrimp have only had the precooked stuff from the grocery store that has terrible texture, is waterlogged, and has little flavor.

Cocktail shrimp is objectively the worst way to eat shrimp.
Garlic, butter, some salt and pepper is so goddamn good. Marinated grilled teriyaki shrimp is excellent as well.
